Counselling in Bath

Welcome to my practice. I am an experienced, fully qualified, counsellor offering counselling to individuals and couples from The Practice Rooms in central Bath.

I offer a welcoming, supportive and confidential space in which to explore current difficulties or unresolved issues from the past.

Within a safe, therapeutic relationship I invite you to begin a journey of self-discovery and personal development.

Sometimes we reach a point in our lives when we can no longer ignore the messages our mind and body are sending us.

These alerts come in many guises - we may feel depressed, anxious or angry. We may experience physical symptoms that have no medical explanation. A particular event may trigger overwhelming feelings that can't be shaken off. We may become stuck in destructive patterns of relating or behaving.

My role as a counsellor is to offer you a non-judgemental safe space in which to speak about and make sense of these difficulties. It can enable us to make contact with our inner strengths and values which may have become hidden or blocked. We can explore, challenge and grow to know ourselves beyond what we ever thought possible....

Both in private practice and in my role as a counsellor for the NHS Counselling Service in South Gloucestershire I have worked with clients experiencing the following problems:

  • Relationship issues - individuals and couples
  • Depression - including Post Natal Depression
  • Eating Disorders
  • Trauma - including birth related trauma and accidents
  • Anxiety and stress
  • Bereavement - loss of partners, parents, children, jobs, homes, animals
  • Low self-esteem and self-worth
  • Abuse - physical, mental and emotional
  • Sexual issues
  • Health related issues - hypochondria, life threatening illness
  • Life changes - retirement, redundancy, children leaving home
  • Meaninglessness and loss of direction
